How CarCharge Works for Locations

CarCharge helps locations offer EV charging without complicating day-to-day operations.

More people are driving electric vehicles, and that opens an opportunity for hotels, restaurants, parking lots, clubs, shopping centres, and other spaces with parking.

CarCharge makes it simple: install or connect a charger, configure usage rules, and get the station ready for users to start charging.

1. The location chooses how to join

Not every location starts from the same point: some already have a charger, others want to invest in one, and others have space but prefer not to take on the upfront investment.

  • Invest in installing a charger and charge for sessions to earn a margin.
  • Provide the space so CarCharge can evaluate installing a charger.

The most common path is for the location to invest and monetize sessions. The second option—CarCharge installing the charger—is evaluated case by case based on location, demand, venue type, and available infrastructure.

Examples of places that can join

  • Hotels and accommodations with parking.
  • Restaurants, wineries, or food destinations.
  • Private parking lots.
  • Clubs, gyms, and sports centres.
  • Shopping centres and high-traffic venues.
  • Buildings, offices, companies, or private properties.

2. A charger is installed or an existing one is connected

If the location does not yet have a charger, one suited to the site and expected usage is installed. If it already has a compatible unit, it is connected to the platform without reinstalling.

The goal is for it to work as a station integrated into the system, not an isolated device: usage, payments, and access rules are managed from one place.

3. The station is configured on the platform

With the charger installed or connected, CarCharge is configured with energy cost, user price, and station rules. Each location can adjust them to its operating model.

What can be configured

  • Energy cost: The cost associated with electricity consumption at that site.
  • User price: The price the person charging their vehicle will pay.
  • Charger type: Settings related to the installed or connected station.
  • Usage conditions: Specific rules according to the venue and operating model.

4. Optionally, private groups are created

Not every station has to be open to everyone. CarCharge lets you restrict access with private groups, enabling chargers only for authorized users.

  • Hotel guests.
  • Building residents.
  • Company employees.
  • Club members.
  • Authorized customers of a venue.
  • Internal fleet users.

5. Users can start charging

From the app, users find the station, review conditions, and start charging by scanning a QR code or using a registered RFID card.

The system records usage and the location offers the service without handling each operation manually.

A simple way to offer EV charging

The location provides the space, the charger, or the decision to invest. CarCharge provides the platform to organize usage, configure prices, and enable access.
